| Birth: | Jul. 1, 1921 | | Death: | Mar. 2, 1945 |  World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Naik in the 10th Baluchi Regiment, Indian Army. At Meiktila, Burma, March 2, 1945, Naik Din's unit was held up by fire from enemy bunkers. He personally attacked the nearest bunker, silenced it, then led his men against the other. Suddenly a group of Japanese, led by two officers wielding swords rushed out and Naik Din was run through the chest by one of them. As the sword was withdrawn, Naik Din wrested it from the hands of the officer and killed him with it. Having killed another Japanese with the sword he continuing to encourage his men before collapsing from his wound. For most meritorious service, he was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross Medal.
