Prince Edward Island Premier. Gray served as the Premier of Prince Edward Island from 1863 to 1865. He also served as a Member of the Legislative Council, Member of the Legislative Assembly, Member of the Executive Council, Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Malta, Aide-de-Camp to the Lieutenant-Governor during the visit of the Prince of Wales, and Adjutant-General of the Prince Edward Island Militia. He was also a Cavalry Officer for 21 years in the British Army, serving in India and South Africa, seeing service during the Crimean War and the First Boer War. (bio by: K)
