He also appeared in "Camelot" (1967), "The Charge of the Light Brigade" (1968), "Barbarella" (1968), "Murder by Decree" (1979) and more recently in "Gladiator" (2000) as Casius, "Spy Game" (2001), "Gangs of New York" (2002) and "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (2003). As director is remembered for "Just a Gigoló" (1979) and TV series as "Magnum P.I.", "The A-Team," and "Quantum Leap." He died while filming in Romania "Samantha's Child" of a heart attack.
