Funeral Services for Clara Jean Staninger, age 91 of Mandan, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Mott. Rev. Ron Hildahl will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery.
Clara passed away September 17, 2010 at the MedCenter One Mandan Living Center in Mandan, ND.
Clara Jean Heinle was born July 21, 1919 in Willa, ND to John and Pauline (Miller) Heinle. In her early twenties she moved to Portland, OR where she met her husband of 63 years, William Staninger.
They resided in Beaverton, OR into their retirement years. Upon the death of her beloved husband William in October, 2009, Jean's family moved her back to N.D. where she spent time with her family visiting and reminiscing at the Mandan Living Center. She even enjoyed watching the abundant snow fall and always asked what the temperature was outside in case she needed an extra blanket for inside. She also enjoyed playing organ, any kind of music, embroidering and tending to her beautiful rose garden.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pauline Heinle; two sisters, Lillian Heinle and Erna Heinle; brother, Ervin Heinle, and husband, William Staninger.
She will be missed by her surviving family; brother, Gary (Bernice) Heinle, Mott, ND; nieces and nephews, Patricia (Al) Kindt, Mott, ND, Lori (Pat) O'Brien, Mandan, ND, Neil (Francine) Heinle, Bismarck, ND, Dale (Linda) Heinle, Williston, ND and numerous great nieces and nephews.
