He was preceded in death by his father Fred Hatcher and brothers Luther and Larry Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife Doris Helton Hatcher; son Jimmy Hatcher; mother Clara Hatcher; mother-in-law Josephine Helton; sisters-in-law Barbara Fine Hatcher and Barbara King Hatcher; brothers and sisters-in-law Bobbie and Jim Pickens, Jean and Jim Carr, Hugh and Connie Helton, and Sue and Mike Smith; several nieces and nephews; special friends Sam and Sharon Justus, Jeff Justus, Doris and Carl Lee Gibson, Thelma Wayland, and Tommy Watts.
