A clue to the correct identity is in the address he died at - 26 Fern St. - in the 1919 Waltham directory it's the address of Charles P. Becker (painter), the husband of one of his daughters, Effie. That address also shows up on Becker's draft card in 1918. (Strangely, Charles Becker was accidentally declared dead in 1912 after a body was pulled from a nearby lake and ID'd by his wife, but newspapers say he showed up 3 weeks later, claiming to have been on a job in Connecticut.)
Note: John lived in Berlin, Mass., for many years. The coroner mistakenly lists place of birth as Berlin, Mass., while many documents from his lifetime say Maine. It also lists John M. Kelley Jr. as informant, but there is no son by this name.
Researching: Son of John M. and Hannah (?)
