Julia A. Huskey of Saffell died Wednesday morning Dec. 7, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family, she was 94 years old.

She was born August 12, 1917 in Coffman, Arkansas to the late Lee William & Mary Ellen Freeman Bailey. In addition to her parents she is preceded by her husband Willie Edward Huskey; her son Jerry Lee Huskey; three sisters, Lucy Quarry, JoAlice Davis, Beulah Taylor; one brother, Robert Lee Bailey; one half brother, Frank Bailey;

Mrs. Huskey was married July 14, 1934 in Lynn; she was an active member of the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church; she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, puzzles; and cooking. Her most favorite was preparing food and having fun with her family.

She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Carrell Gene & Mildred Huskey, Willie Edward & Eula Mae Huskey, and Rickey Wayne & Levenia Huskey, all of Strawberry; her four daughters and sons-in-law, Mary JoEllen & Carlton Wann of Paragould, Deborah Suzanne & Denton Penn of Green Valley, IL, Barbara Lou Broadway of Smithville, and Kathey Rena & Archie Wilson of Jonesboro and her half sister Wilene Davis of Jonesboro; 25 grandchildren 52 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive her.

The family will receive friends Friday evening after 5:pm at the Saffell Missionary Baptist Church in Saffell, where services will be held on Saturday Dec. 10, 2011 at 10:am with Mike Gaskill officiating. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Ward Cemetery. Honored to serve her as pallbearers are Derrick Huskey, Scotty Huskey, Jimmy Huskey, Brett Broadway, David Wann, and Tommy Wilson; Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Huskey, Rusty Huskey, Jeff Huskey, Keith Huskey, Lyle Huskey, Willie Jo Huskey, Corkey Penn, and Bart Penn.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lincoln-Ward Cemetery Association, 75 Hwy 361, Strawberry, AR 72469.
