The Count was already married so he divorced his wife ot marry Veronika. His wife the Countess Elizabeth Frankopan was from a very pwerful and influential family so this divorce was taken badly. Frederick and Veronica had to flee his fathers anger. Eventually they were caught and Veronika was tried for witchcraft.She was found guilty and later was drowned in a large tub. After her death Frederick had Countess Elizabeth killed setting off more bad blood. A few decades later the last Count of Celje would have his skull bashed in by John Hunyadi and his friends in Belgrade.Veronika is the Juliet of Slovenia and Croatia.
