Mrs. Jennie Deam 63, of 624 West Fourth Street died at 11 am today at St Josephs hospital following a stroke Thursday.
She was born in Livingston county Mo. January 23, 1885, and has been a resident of Ottumwa 40 years. She was a memnber of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rose Society, and the Ladies Auxilary of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainsmen.
Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Frank McKinney of Ottumwa; three brothers, William Hughes of Ottumwa, Andrew Hughes of Brookfield Mo,. and Everette Hughes of Chillicothe, Mo., and a sister Mrs. L.C. Traul of Ottumwa. Her husband Claude Deam died in 1942. Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. The body is at the Traul Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Deam 63 who died Friday mlorning at St. Joseph's Hospital will be helm Monday at 8:30 at the Traul Funeral Home and at 9 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh will celebrate requeim high mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Milwaukee Railroad employes.
Members of the parrish and of the Altar and Rose Society will meet at 8pm Sunday at the funeral home to recite the rosary. The body will remain at the funeral home.
