Joseph E. Taylor died Sept. 8, 1999.
Born February 20, 1933 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Joseph Elmer and Ethel Treseder Taylor. Married Carol Fonnesbeck May 29, 1956. He served two years in the U.S. Army, where he took second place in the International Marksmanship Competition. Was an avid golfer, enjoyed the horse races, he retired from Hercules after 32 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and especially his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Carol; three daughters, and one son, JoAnn (Jim) Fleming; Laura (Frank) Atkinson; Kayla (Mark) Turner; Clay (Ronalee) Taylor; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Torman, Ogden, Marguerite (Frank) Johnson, Ogden. Preceded in death by two brothers, John and Leon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at the Granger 20th Ward, 2850 West 3925 South. Friends may call McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Friday 6-8 p.m. abd Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be Valley View Memorial Park.
We love you dad, you were always a great example, and in our eyes you were larger than life. We will miss you more than you will ever know. Your loving wife and children.
