Helen Leona Kilver, 92, of Winchester passed away Tuesday night (January 29,2002) at Skyview Terrace in Jacksonville. She was born June 17, 1909 in Jacksonville the daughter of the late Horace H. and Anna T. Wilner Massey. She married Clifford Kilver in 1927 in Springfield. He preceded her in death October 1, 1977.

Surviving are her children Wayne Kilver of Winchester, Shirley Mellor of Plantation, Florida, and Marlene (husband Larry) Engelbrecht of Bluffs. 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also preceding her were her 5 brothers Raymond, Homer, Fred, Warren, and Harry Massey, her 3 sisters Grace Spalding, Frieda Smith, and Hazel Thomas, and a grandson.

She attended South Jacksonville and Jacksonville schools. She had worked for many years at the New Method Book Bindery in Jacksonville and then for Gross Animal Clinic in Winchester. She was a member of the Winchester United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Home Extension.

Services were entrusted to Coonrod Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
