Leslie James, 54, of McLeansboro, Route 4 died Monday of a cerebral hemorrage, after a lingering illness. He had lived in Hamilton County most of his life.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brush Harbor. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Bradshaw and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, McLeansboro.
Mr. James was born October 27, 1901 in Perry county, Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew James. He was married in 1936 to Nola Pierce, who receded him in death in 1953.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Hatfield of McLeansboro and Shelby Hocking of Streator; one step-daughter, Betty Campbell of McLeansboro; four brothers, Elmer James of Toledo, Ohio; Appie James of Ransom, Ill.; Lafie James of Wisconsin; Ludie James of McLeansboro; and five grandchildren.
NOTE: "brother" Ludie James is actually his sister.
