Born in Muhlenberg County Feb. 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Howard and Ada Bell Oates Boggess. The youngest of 12 children, she married William Joseph Fox in 1939, who preceded her in death in 2001 after 62 years of marriage. She taught school in Muhlenberg County for 40 years from 1939 - 1979, which included her first year in a one - room school at Browder. The rest of her career she spent teaching 1st and 2nd grade at Drakesboro. She was a graduate of Ennis High School and Western Kentucky University. She enjoyed sewing, teaching young children, and talking.
Survivors include two daughters.
