FORMER RESIDENT DIED AT ITHICA
Body of Mrs. Sarah M. Norris to Be Brought to This City For Burial

Relatives in this city yesterday received word of the death of Mrs. Sarah M. Norris, who died at her home in Ithica N.Y., Tuesday, May 3.

The deceased, who will be remembered by many people in this city and c ounty, was born on a farm just east of this city 85 years ago, and mos t of her life had been spent in this city and county, she having gone to Ithica about six years ago.
In early womanhood she was united in marriage with Abraham H. Norris, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two children, George Norris of Ithica, N.Y., and Ora B. Norris of Charlotte, Mich.; one sister, Mary E. Norris, of 1300 East Clinton street, this city. One daughter, Mrs. J.G. Lee, preceded the mother in death, as have two brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Norris was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was kno wn as a true Christian woman and was held in high esteem by a wide acq uaintance of friends and former neighbors.

The body will be brought to this city today and will be taken to the Goodwin funeral home, where it will remain until the hour of the funeral. Funeral services will be held in the M.E. church Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.

NORRIS - FUDGE REUNION TODAY
Attendance is Estimated at More Than One Hundred and Fifty -- Fine Program Enjoyed

The sixth annual reunion of the Norris - Fudge families was held in the T .P.A. park today. The members of the two families having been assembli ng in the park early this morning, and shortly before the noon hour the at tendance was estimated at about one hundred fifty people, including visito rs from all parts of the county and several from out of the city.
The morning hours were spent in an informal manner, members of the famili es visiting and renewing old acquiantances and in greeting new membe rs to the reunion organization.
At the noon hour, long tables were arranged northeast of the refreshme nt house and the elaborate meal was prepared for the big family gatheri ng and the big assemblage was seated and served. No harvest meal cou ld be more elaborate than the baskets that had been brought to the pa rk in which were hidden the dainties and the delicious cooking of the wom en of the organization.
Following the dinner hour, Clint Norris, president of the organization, m ade a short talk, reviewing the growth of the reunions of the family since they were instituted six years ago.
He called attention to the increase in attendance since the first meeti ng was held and announced the program for the afternoon hours as arrang ed by Catherine Brant, secretary of the organization.
During the afternoon hours the program consisted of several address es by members of the two families, recitations, solos and games were play ed by the younger members of the organization. Before the close of the re union this evening, a business meeting will be held, at which time office rs will be elected for the coming year.
The members of the Norris-Fudge families note in their records that with in the history of their organization they list themselves as the descendan ts of Abraham and Marigold Norris and Peter and David Fudge, all of whom w ere among the early settlers in Clinton county and members of families w ho have played an important part in the development of Clinton county.
The lands of the Fudge and Norris families were all east of this city and what is now known as the Hoke addition was the farm of Peter Fudge, many of whose descendants were present at today's gathering.
