Sylvester W. "Chub" HEDINGTON, 87, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Luthera
Hospital of Indiaa Fort Wayne.
Born in Kosciusko County to John and Myrtle VANPHERSON HEDINGTON, he
married Flo SHOEMAKER on Dec. 7, 1932 in Warsaw; she survives. He was a farmer and also
drove a school bus for 29 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Martha) YATES,
Warsaw, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) MELLOTT, Etna Green; one son, Joe and wife Linda
HEDINGTON, Waraw; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Noble and
wife Faye HEDINGTON, Pierceton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Noel HEDINGTON.
Services are at 10:30 a.m Friday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Don
POYSER officiating. Burial wil be in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine. Vsitation is from 4-8 p.m
today at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
