Donald D. DeVore, age 73, of Port Richey Florida, formerly of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida.
He was born June 25, 1938 in Brinkhaven to John and Esther (Sheldon) DeVore. Don graduated from Warsaw High School. He was employed by Pittsburgh Plate Company in Mount Vernon before transferring to the plant in Decatur, Illinois. Don continued his employment there until his retirement in September 2000. He enjoyed going to auctions and antique car shows. One of Don's favorite quotes: "May you always tip toe through the tulips"
Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deanna (Frazee) DeVore, two daughters Dee Dee (Rick) Rawlings of Decatur, Illinois and Dianna (Rob) Miller of Vandenburg Air Force Base, California; two grandchildren Carrie Horton Rawlings and Jonathan Miller.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Delmar DeVore, and a grandson Robert Marshall Miller.
Funeral services held on Thursday December 1, 2011 with Mr. Brad White officiating. Burial was in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
