"AGED INDIAN SERVICE EMPLOYEE DIES, TEXAS

Louis P. Baptiste, aged sixty four years, died in Burkburnett, Texas, Thursday. He had gone there about two months ago in the vain hope of regaining his health which had been poor for several years. He was an employee of the Osage Indian agency for nearly forty years, probably having broken all records for time of service here. He was quiet and unassuming, well liked by all, and his long service indicates his trustworthiness and the esteem in which he was held by his employers.

He leaves one son Joe, also an employee of the agency, and six grandchildren. Services are to [be] held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the Johnson chapel, Rev. George A. Boston, of the Baptist church having charge. Interment will be in the city cemetery beside the grave of his wife who [predeceased] him more than four years [ago.]"
