VERBLE, CLETIS E., age 85, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004, in Hollister, Missouri; he was born Sept. 11, 1919 in Piggott, Arkansas, the son of Jeff and Ella (Brown) Verble.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel; his parents and several brothers and sisters; survivors include a son, Jerry Verble of O'Fallon, Missouri; daughters, Terry Medlin of St. Louis and Jane Moeser of Waterloo, Illinois; two brothers, Edward and Melvin Verble; 5 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Cletis was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII. He retired in Branson, Missouri because of his love of fishing.

If desired, please make expressions of sympathy in memory of Cletis to the American Cancer Society. Memorial service will be conducted in the chapel of KRIEGSHAUSER SOUTH Mortuary, 4228 South Kingshighway Boulevard, on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation at Kriegshauser South, on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. until time of service.

Graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004 at 10
