He was born May 4, 1920 in Brawley, California.
Mr. Van Horn was a World War II Army Veteran and was a recipient of the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts.
He was preceded in death by a son Dannie Van Horn, and two brothers, Adrian Van Horn and Joseph Huey Van Horn.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred, his son Ron (Margaret) Van Horn, grandchildren Sean Van Horn, Shannon Cupples, Rebecca Freeman, and Erin Van Horn.
Funeral Services were held at Wolfersberger Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.
