Alice (Kaidy) Abohatab, 76, Enfield, CT, entered into eternal rest fallen asleep in the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Evergreen Healthcare Center in Stafford Springs.
She was a Nanny to many area babies for years, many of the young children that she took care of now have children of their own. Born on July 6, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Tofik and Olga (Sabah) Kaidy. Alice has resided in Enfield since 1959.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Elias Lou Abohatab whom she married on September 24, 1950; her daughters, Nancy Abohatab of Williamantic, Lisa Abohatab and her husband James Schofield of Keene, NH, Janet Barone and her fiance Stanley Snarski of Manchester and Carol Abohatab and her companion Murray Gusseck of Campbell, CA; four grandchildren, Sam Schofield and Ian Schofield both of Keene, NH, Anthony Barone and his wife Sandie of Enfield and Chad Barone and his wife Jenifer of Enfield.
A memorial service for Mrs. Abohatab will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 1:30 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
