Georgia Alice Smith, 92, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Hale Center with the Rev. Bob O'Daniel, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery in Plainview by Holley Funeral Home of Canyon.

Mrs. Smith was born to William Riley Parker and Effie Vidue Smith Parker on Sept. 1, 1911, near Dunlap. She married George Edward Smith on March 9, 1932, in Muleshoe, accompanied by lifetime friends, Jack and Daisy Bell Anderson.

For the most part, her work was in the home, and volunteering her assistance in sponsoring school activities while their four children moved through the school system over a period of 20 plus years.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dwain Parker Smith in 1962; a daughter, Wynogean Smith Nelson in 1992; her husband, George Edward Smith in 2002; and her only brother, Jesse Parker in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Edward Bailey Smith and wife, Beth, of Copperas Cove and Donnie Jesse Smith and wife, Donna, of Canyon; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
