Marian E. Selfridge, 89, died Jan. 14, 2005, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor, Sterling.

She was born Oct. 6, 1915, at Broken Bow, NE the daughter of Edgar Thayer and Eliza Boyce Shepardson. She graduated from Broken Bow High School.

A longtime resident of Sterling, she was a former employee of Engbrecht Hatchery and worked in the dietary department at Sterling Presbyterian Manor, both at Sterling.

She belonged to First Baptist Church, Silver Threads, J.B. Club and the Birthday Club, all of Sterling.

On June 18, 1948, she married John Selfridge at Sterling. He died Aug. 6, 1986.

Survivors include a son Robert Wilson, Midland,TX; two daughters, Mary Jane Navarro, Lyons, and Jeannine Horn, dighton; nine grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and a brother John Shepardson.

Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Wed. at Sillin Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Rev. Glenn Chambers presiding. Burial will be in Sterling Community Cemetery.
