Polly Ann Adkins
Polly Ann Adkins, 68, of Point Pleasant, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1996, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
A member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, she was a 1945 graduate of Point Pleasant High School.
Born Oct. 7, 1927, in Gallipolis, she was a daughter of the late Ross N. and Clara (Wartenburg) Filson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl T. "Babe" Adkins, who died Aug. 3, 1992.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Lee and Rumsey Oats of Point Pleasant; two sons and daughters-in-law, M/Sgt. Gregory Scott and Marianela Adkins of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bruce Wayne and Shirley Adkins of Cross Lanes, WV; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Hobson officiating. Burial will be in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, near Point Pleasant.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 415, Point Pleasant, W.Va. 25550.
