Lee Rose, 85, of Frederick, died at 3:10 p.m. March 31 at St John's hospital in Springfield.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Roby Funeral Chapel with Rev Kenneth LaFary officiating. Burial was in Browning cemetery.
Lee was born Sept 8, 1895 in Kay County, Okla., the son of Andy and Mary Penton Rose. He married Elizabeth L Rath on April 11, 1928 in St Francis, Kan. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughter - Mrs Mildred Goldsberry and Mrs Dorothy Livingston, both of Springfield and Mrs Geneva Black of Frederick; two sons - Robert of Edinburg and Gary of Los Angeles, Calif; 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; three sisters - Mrs Birda Kern of Phillipsberg, Kan., Mrs Bertha Ludwig of St Francis, Kan., and Mrs Nellie McFarland of Eckert, Calif; and a brother, Ralph of Eckley, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Evelyn.
