Mrs. Joann Collins Alexander, age 72 of Vidalia, died Friday, November 25, 2011 in the Bethany Nursing Center of Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Candler County and lived in Montgomery County most of her life. She was employed with Roydon Wear for twenty years, attended the New Corinth Baptist Church, and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Heman Booth Galbreath and Dan Alexander; and her parents, Bill and Fairy Bell Screen Collins.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by one daughter, Joan Galbreath of the Sharpespur Community; two sisters, Billie Sue Phillips and husband Billy and Dorothy Powell all of Cobbtown; three grandchildren, Tommy Booth Joyner of the Sharpespur Community, Joanie Dealice Joyner and Desiree Galbreath Branch and husband Randy all of Lyons; and one great-grandson, Roderick Marley Berry of Lyons.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28th at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Toby Skrine officiating. Interment will follow in the Galbreath Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 until 3:00.
