Dr. Daniel Parish Kidder was the son of Sylvester "Selvey" and Mehetabel (Parish) Kidder. He was born South Pembroke (now Darien). Cynthia Harriet (Harris) Kidder was his 1st wife. She died April 16, 1840. Harriette (Smith) Kidder was his 2nd wife. They were married April 6, 1842 and she died March 1915. He was a minister in the Genesee (now Western New York) Conference, New Jersey Conference, Newark Conference and Rock River Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
