Age 86 years, nine months and 18 days, a resident of Mounds, Illinois passed away Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 7:05 p.m. in the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born February 4, 1925 in Hickman, Kentucky to the late John Argus Franklin and Eula Irene Pruitt Byrd, Mary lived in Mounds for the past 18 years, where she was a member of the Mounds City Baptist Church.
On April 13, 1959 she married Damon Bone, Sr. who preceded her in death on September 12, 1979.
She is survived by six sons and three daughters-in-law, Timothy D. Patrick & Becky of Mounds City, Michael A. Patrick of St. Louis, Hoyt Patrick of LaGrange, Kentucky, Paul D. Bone of Mounds, Damon L. Bone, Jr. & Kellie of East Prairie, Billy Bone & Laura of Mounds; five daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine Eschberger & Don of Baytown, Texas, Marlene Patrick & Gene Odom of Sahurita, Arizona, Pamela Nixon & Ron of Chicago, Illinois, DaMita Vaughan & Brent of McConnell, Tennessee and Wendye Pettit & David of Bloomfield; two brothers, Billy Byrd of Bryant, Arkansas and Earl Byrd of Troy, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Nolan of Jackson; 38 grandchildren; 36 Great-Grandchildren; and six Great-Great-Grandchildren; and a host of relatives and many friends.
Besides her husband and parents; one grandson Andy Patrick preceded Mary in death.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday November 26 at 1 p.m. with Bro. Larry Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery with Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hinman, Marc Hinman, Jared Hinman, Josh Hazelwood, Phillip Hazelwood, Paul Bone, Jr., David Pettit, Jr. and Nicholas Pettit.
