Bonnie LuZon Blakely, 85 of Idaho Falls, formerly of Ririe, died Thursday, July 09, 2015.

She was born July 8, 1930 in Rupert, Idaho to Joseph LeRoy Hardy and Vaudis LuZon Wodskow Hardy. She was raised and attended schools in Rupert, Buhl, Archer and Richfield, Idaho. She continued her education and graduating from Idaho Falls Business College. On June 16, 1955, she married Marion Wendell Blakely in Jackson, Wyoming; their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with 6 children.

Bonnie worked for the Bonneville County Assessor¡¦s Office and in the lab for Pro Ida and the Idaho Fresh Pak.

Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she served in the Primary, Jr. Sunday School, was coordinator in the Ririe 2nd Ward extraction program and she was also active in the Relief Society. Bonnie enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, knitting and working with hand tooled leather. She loved music and enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Marion Wendell Blakely of Idaho Falls, daughter, Judy Ann (Tom) Green, of Indian Valley, Idaho, sons, Bobby Wayne (Molly) Bell, of Rigby, Idaho, Ronald Ray (Cindy) Bell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Alan Richard Blakely, of Ririe, Idaho, Marion Clay (Tammy) Blakely of Iona, sister Laudis LeOla Neiderer, of Rexburg, brother, Von LeRoy (Leatha) Hardy of Ririe, 30 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gail ReNee McMurtrey, sister, Luella Briggs, brother, James Richard Hardy, infant granddaughter Gail McMurtrey and a great-grandson, Teegan Fried.

Bonnie¡¦s 2 daughters-in-law Cindy Bell and Tammy Blakely would like everyone to know that Bonnie was the best mother and grandma. We love you very much and you will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Ririe LDS Stake Center, 14061 N. 130 E., Ririe. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
