Doris Higgins (Reed) of Dallas passed away Sept. 24, 2003.
She was born Oct. 13, 1921 in Waxahachie to Wylie & Eddie Mae (Thomas) Reed.
A graduate of Waxahachie High School, she attended Trinity University & North Texas Teachers College.
Mrs. Higgins retired from Methodist Hospitals, where she was an accountant.
Preceded in death by her husband Gerald Higgins in 1996.
She is survived by her son, Reed Higgins & wife Karen of Duncanville; daughter, Robyn Dingman & husband Dennis of Aurora, CO; grandson, Jason Higgins & wife Randi of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Nicole Bacon of Aurora, CO, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services are 10:00 AM, Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.
Burial will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
