Elma was born July 24th, 1910 at Numa, Iowa to William B. and Blanche Albertson Frazell. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Leo Best on May 24th, 1930 in Kirksville, MO. Elma was a graduate of Mystic High School and was a housewife and homemaker for most of her life. An Ottumwa resident for 50 years, she had also worked at the Munitions Plant in Des Moines during WWII. Elma was a member of the King�s Daughters, FISH, and was a Home Finding Foster parent. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, making jewelry and bird watching. Elma was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Ottumwa and most recently had attended the First Baptist Church in Ottumwa. Her memory is honored by her daughter, Wanda J. Doak of Hedrick; her five grandchildren; Carla Doak of Hedrick, Corby Phillips of Keota, David Doak of Bellbrook Ohio, Douglas Doak of University Park and Glen Doak of Anthem Arizona, her 14 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Wanda M. Dooley of Centerville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, her parents, and two sisters, Velma Booth and Margie Frazell in childhood. Hedrick Quick Responders Service
