Green was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo, of Cross Keys Union County SC, the grandson of Solomon Sr & Mary [Potts] Bobo, of Union CO SC, his White grand parents were, Robert Sr & Mildred [Whitehead] White, also of Union Co. Solomon Sr was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in Gen Andrew Pickens Army, fought at the Battle of Cowpens, a turning point in the war. His Great Grand Father Capt Lewis Bobo, and his Wife Sarah both served in the Revolution. His White grand father Robert Sr, also served in the this War.
He married 1st to Caroline Barkman, about 1852, in Bowie Co TX, daughter of John & Hannah [Davis] Barkman. Her family was part of the Wavell Colony in Red River, arriving about 1832/34. Part of this county later became Bowie Co TX.
Green 1st married Caroline Barkman, abt.1852 Bowie Co TX, they had the following 6 children: (Caroline died Mar 28, 1864.)

Oct 17, 1846 --Church in Conf. Granted a letter of demission, Br. Green Bobo.
**Green joined Elias White's wagon train to Bowie Co TX Oct 1846.
Green Bobo, whose burial site in unknown, but buried in Bowie County Texas. However, an old internment list now lost, had listed Green & wife Caroline as buried at the Barkman cemetery near Barkman Creek, in Bowie Co. Directions has been listed as: "From Leary go north on FM 1398. Go about 3 miles. On the right you will see a few headstones under a group of big trees."
Green's death was recorded in the Texas Masonic Death records, for Boston Lodge #69, in the 1870 range. The location would have been New Boston Bowie Co TX.
Update: 1/16/2014: Message from
Texas Grand Masonic Lodge:
"We found that G. H. Bobo received his Masonic degrees in Boston Lodge #69, in 1867. He was initiated in September, passed in November, and raised in December, 1867." We discovered from the Boston Lodge records, that G H Bobo, died 5 Dec 1869, we are as of today creating an official Texas Grand Lodge Record of GH Bobo, as was done with his brother Jeremiah Bobo, in the 1800's."
Green migrated from Union Co SC, with his Uncle Elias White, arrived Feb 17, 1846, brothers, Jeremiah "Jerry", Samuel, Lewis were also in the group, along with other families from Union Co. Brother Lewis moved to Houston Co TX, died in the Civil War. Samuel and Green remained in Bowie Co TX. Jerry, moved to Cass Co TX initially, raised his family there, and died in Bell County Texas.
Green was the Bowie County Tax Accessor & Collector from: 1853-1856 and 1866-1867.
Four of Green's brothers served in the Civil War; Tilman, Lewis, Hiram and Robert, Tilman and Lewis were killed in the war, Robert wounded twice, Hiram survived.

Green was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo, of Cross Keys Union County SC, the grandson of Solomon Sr & Mary [Potts] Bobo, of Union CO SC, his White grand parents were, Robert Sr & Mildred [Whitehead] White, also of Union Co. Solomon Sr was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in Gen Andrew Pickens Army, fought at the Battle of Cowpens, a turning point in the war. His Great Grand Father Capt Lewis Bobo, and his Wife Sarah both served in the Revolution. His White grand father Robert Sr, also served in the this War.
He married 1st to Caroline Barkman, about 1852, in Bowie Co TX, daughter of John & Hannah [Davis] Barkman. Her family was part of the Wavell Colony in Red River, arriving about 1832/34. Part of this county later became Bowie Co TX.
Green 1st married Caroline Barkman, abt.1852 Bowie Co TX, they had the following 6 children: (Caroline died Mar 28, 1864.)

Oct 17, 1846 --Church in Conf. Granted a letter of demission, Br. Green Bobo.
**Green joined Elias White's wagon train to Bowie Co TX Oct 1846.
Green Bobo, whose burial site in unknown, but buried in Bowie County Texas. However, an old internment list now lost, had listed Green & wife Caroline as buried at the Barkman cemetery near Barkman Creek, in Bowie Co. Directions has been listed as: "From Leary go north on FM 1398. Go about 3 miles. On the right you will see a few headstones under a group of big trees."
Green's death was recorded in the Texas Masonic Death records, for Boston Lodge #69, in the 1870 range. The location would have been New Boston Bowie Co TX.
Update: 1/16/2014: Message from
Texas Grand Masonic Lodge:
"We found that G. H. Bobo received his Masonic degrees in Boston Lodge #69, in 1867. He was initiated in September, passed in November, and raised in December, 1867." We discovered from the Boston Lodge records, that G H Bobo, died 5 Dec 1869, we are as of today creating an official Texas Grand Lodge Record of GH Bobo, as was done with his brother Jeremiah Bobo, in the 1800's."
Green migrated from Union Co SC, with his Uncle Elias White, arrived Feb 17, 1846, brothers, Jeremiah "Jerry", Samuel, Lewis were also in the group, along with other families from Union Co. Brother Lewis moved to Houston Co TX, died in the Civil War. Samuel and Green remained in Bowie Co TX. Jerry, moved to Cass Co TX initially, raised his family there, and died in Bell County Texas.
Green was the Bowie County Tax Accessor & Collector from: 1853-1856 and 1866-1867.
Four of Green's brothers served in the Civil War; Tilman, Lewis, Hiram and Robert, Tilman and Lewis were killed in the war, Robert wounded twice, Hiram survived.

Green was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo, of Cross Keys Union County SC, the grandson of Solomon Sr & Mary [Potts] Bobo, of Union CO SC, his White grand parents were, Robert Sr & Mildred [Whitehead] White, also of Union Co. Solomon Sr was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in Gen Andrew Pickens Army, fought at the Battle of Cowpens, a turning point in the war. His Great Grand Father Capt Lewis Bobo, and his Wife Sarah both served in the Revolution. His White grand father Robert Sr, also served in the this War.
He married 1st to Caroline Barkman, about 1852, in Bowie Co TX, daughter of John & Hannah [Davis] Barkman. Her family was part of the Wavell Colony in Red River, arriving about 1832/34. Part of this county later became Bowie Co TX.
Green 1st married Caroline Barkman, abt.1852 Bowie Co TX, they had the following 6 children: (Caroline died Mar 28, 1864.)

**Green joined Elias White's wagon train to Bowie Co TX Oct 1846.
Green Bobo, whose burial site in unknown, but buried in Bowie County Texas. However, an old internment list now lost, had listed Green & wife Caroline as buried at the Barkman cemetery near Barkman Creek, in Bowie Co. Directions has been listed as: "From Leary go north on FM 1398. Go about 3 miles. On the right you will see a few headstones under a group of big trees."
Green's death was recorded in the Texas Masonic Death records, for Boston Lodge #69, in the 1870 range. The location would have been New Boston Bowie Co TX.
Update: 1/16/2014: Message from
Texas Grand Masonic Lodge:
"We found that G. H. Bobo received his Masonic degrees in Boston Lodge #69, in 1867. He was initiated in September, passed in November, and raised in December, 1867." We discovered from the Boston Lodge records, that G H Bobo, died 5 Dec 1869, we are as of today creating an official Texas Grand Lodge Record of GH Bobo, as was done with his brother Jeremiah Bobo, in the 1800's."
Green migrated from Union Co SC, with his Uncle Elias White, arrived Feb 17, 1846, brothers, Jeremiah "Jerry", Samuel, Lewis were also in the group, along with other families from Union Co. Brother Lewis moved to Houston Co TX, died in the Civil War. Samuel and Green remained in Bowie Co TX. Jerry, moved to Cass Co TX initially, raised his family there, and died in Bell County Texas.
Green was the Bowie County Tax Accessor & Collector from: 1853-1856 and 1866-1867.
Four of Green's brothers served in the Civil War; Tilman, Lewis, Hiram and Robert, Tilman and Lewis were killed in the war, Robert wounded twice, Hiram survived.

Green was the son of Solomon Jr & Elizabeth [White] Bobo, of Cross Keys Union County SC, the grandson of Solomon Sr & Mary [Potts] Bobo, of Union CO SC, his White grand parents were, Robert Sr & Mildred [Whitehead] White, also of Union Co. Solomon Sr was a Revolutionary War soldier, serving in Gen Andrew Pickens Army, fought at the Battle of Cowpens, a turning point in the war. His Great Grand Father Capt Lewis Bobo, and his Wife Sarah both served in the Revolution. His White grand father Robert Sr, also served in the this War.
He married 1st to Caroline Barkman, about 1852, in Bowie Co TX, daughter of John & Hannah [Davis] Barkman. Her family was part of the Wavell Colony in Red River, arriving about 1832/34. Part of this county later became Bowie Co TX.
Green 1st married Caroline Barkman, abt.1852 Bowie Co TX, they had the following 6 children: (Caroline died Mar 28, 1864.)

**Green joined Elias White's wagon train to Bowie Co TX Oct 1846.
Green Bobo, whose burial site in unknown, but buried in Bowie County Texas. However, an old internment list now lost, had listed Green & wife Caroline as buried at the Barkman cemetery near Barkman Creek, in Bowie Co. Directions has been listed as: "From Leary go north on FM 1398. Go about 3 miles. On the right you will see a few headstones under a group of big trees."
Green's death was recorded in the Texas Masonic Death records, for Boston Lodge #69, in the 1870 range. The location would have been New Boston Bowie Co TX.
Update: 1/16/2014: Message from
Texas Grand Masonic Lodge:
"We found that G. H. Bobo received his Masonic degrees in Boston Lodge #69, in 1867. He was initiated in September, passed in November, and raised in December, 1867." We discovered from the Boston Lodge records, that G H Bobo, died 5 Dec 1869, we are as of today creating an official Texas Grand Lodge Record of GH Bobo, as was done with his brother Jeremiah Bobo, in the 1800's."
Green migrated from Union Co SC, with his Uncle Elias White, arrived Feb 17, 1846, brothers, Jeremiah "Jerry", Samuel, Lewis were also in the group, along with other families from Union Co. Brother Lewis moved to Houston Co TX, died in the Civil War. Samuel and Green remained in Bowie Co TX. Jerry, moved to Cass Co TX initially, raised his family there, and died in Bell County Texas.
Green was the Bowie County Tax Accessor & Collector from: 1853-1856 and 1866-1867.
Four of Green's brothers served in the Civil War; Tilman, Lewis, Hiram and Robert, Tilman and Lewis were killed in the war, Robert wounded twice, Hiram survived.
