French composer. Was a pupil of Le Flem and Varese and together with Olivier Messiaen, Daniel Lesur and Yves Baudrier, he was considered part of Jeune (young) France. He wrote concertos, ballets, solo works, and many other works. He often preferred the flute for its human qualities.
