| Birth: | unknown | | Death: | 1005 |  Japan Folk Figure. He was the Astrologer in the court of Emperor Ichijo, and was famous for his accurate predictions. He observed the principles of "On'yodo." According to the "Okagami" and "Konjaku monogatari," he also predicted, through the observation of celestial phenomena, the abdication of Emperor Kazan.
