Maxine M. Wetzel, 66, of 740 Petersburg Road, Carlisle, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2006 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was born December 29, 1939, in Carlisle, to the late William and Edna Miller Long.
She was a housewife and formerly sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry and Tupperware Products. She was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church, Walnut Bottom, and a member of the Keystone Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club. Maxine enjoyed needlework, crocheting, gardening, and scrap booking. She played the organ for many weddings, but most of all she enjoyed her time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E., of Carlisle; a daughter, Lorie and her husband, Bill L. Cressler of Mt. Holly Springs; two grandchildren, Nathaniel W. Cressler and Natasha L. Cressler of Mt. Holly Springs; a sister, Ruth J. Swartz and a brother, Kenneth W. Long, both of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. Long.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 11 a.m., in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Avenue, Mt. Holly Springs, with the Reverend Robert E. Smith officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
