Charles B. Bradley, 93, of Dudley, died Sunday, December 3, 1961, at 6:50 p.m. at the Hanawalt home in Dudley where he resided. Mr. Bradley had been ill for the past three years.
He was born April 5, 1868, at Coalmont, a son of Charles T. and Sarah (Ober) Bradley.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. A number of nieces and nephews survive.
The deceased was one of five original employes of the Pittsburgh Reduction Company, now the Aluminum Company of America. He began work on September 29, 1889, when the company manufactured two pounds of aluminum every 24 hours. In 1894, he was transferred from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls, N.Y., and was foreman of a new mill there. Several years later Mr. Bradley was named superintendent of mills No. 1 and 2 in Niagara Falls. He retired in 1923. He attended the Carbon Township school and attended Juniata College. Following his retirement he moved to Aitch R. D., and since 1952 made his home with the Hanawalt family in Dudley.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. from the Hanawalt residence. The Rev. Paul D. Marsden will officiate. Interment will be made in the Methodist Cemetery at Dudley. Friends may call at the Hanawalt home after 6 p.m. on Tuesday until the hour for the service. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Masood funeral service of Saxton.
