Death:	Mar. 11, 1940 Springfield Clark County Ohio, USA
US Congressman. From age 12 he was raised on a farm near Springfield, Ohio, and initially worked in the railroad and dairy industries. In 1923 his legs were paralyzed in a farming accident and he was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Aleshire operated a gas station and a grocery store in Springfield before winning election as a Democrat to the US House of Representatives; he represented Ohio's 7th District from January 3, 1937 to January 3, 1939.
