| Birth: | Sep. 19, 1885 Mankato Blue Earth County Minnesota, USA | | Death: | Sep. 9, 1965 Seattle King County Washington, USA |  US Navy Peacetime Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the Unted States Navy as a Quartermaster Third Class on board the "USS Bennington". He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery on July 21, 1905. His citation reads "He displayed extraordinary heroism at the time of the explosion of a boiler on that vessel at San Diego, California". He was awarded the CMOH on January 5, 1906.
