suddenly Saturday at Clearwater, Fla.
He was on leave and was accompanied by his wife and daughter, Lt. Joy Armstrong, C.W.A.C.
Born in 1886, in Montreal, he was the son of the late Charles Newhouse Armstrong and Frances (Johnstone) Armstrong; and a grandson of Hon. James Armstrong, C.M.G., Chief Justice of St. Lucia and Tobago.
He attended St. Alban's School at Brockville and the Royal Military College, Kingston. In 1906, he was appointed to a commission in the 21st Battery, Canadian Field Artillery. During W.W. I he served in France, Belgium and England.
Brig. Logie Armstrong is survived by his wife, the former Marjorie Wilkes, daughter of the late Col. A. J. Wilkes of Brantford, Ont., who he married in 1915. Also surviving are one son, Capt. Logie Armstrong of Ottawa; two daughters, Lt. Joy Armstrong and Mrs. D. C. Skene; two sisters, Mrs. William Bentham of Montreal and Miss Elsie Armstrong of Farnham, England; and one brother, Col. B. H. O. Armstrong, C.B., C.M.G., of Overton, England.
