Michael Roller was born in/near Berlin, Germany (perhaps Rixdorf, a village that was named "Neucölln" in 1912). Michael Roller arrived in America on 26 AUG 1880 at New York City; he traveled on the ship 'Bergenland' which departed from Antwerp, Belgium. He married Anna Maria Hermes on 11 APR 1885 in Hamtramck, Wayne County, Michigan (Wayne County Marriage Records, Liber 'J', page 65). Michael Roller had a brother who settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (per RJYSr); (the 1909 Detroit City directory lists an 'Otto Roller' who boards at the home of Michael Roller). Verbal information from Leona Roller Yagley states that Michael Roller was born in/near Berlin (but Berlin city records are incomplete).
