NEWCOMERSTOWN--Willard G. Norman, 55, of 608 S. Chestnut St., died at his residence early Saturday morning, Oct. 19, 1991, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.
Born March 24, 1936, in Newcomerstown, he was a son of the late Guy Harry Norman and Jeanette (Mirise) Norman).
He was a retired employee of the Alsco Aluminum Company in Gnadhutten where he worked for 33 years.
He was a navy veteran, a member of the Newcomerstown Moose Lodge 1337 and the Thomas Montgomery Post 431 of the Newcomerstown American Legion.
He was married June 30, 1984, to the former Nancy McCormick. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Brenda) Miller of West Lafayette, and Barbara Harshman of Columbia, SC; five brothers, Charles and Gerald both of Columbus, Donald and John, both of Newcomerstown, and Roy of Sunbury; four sisters, Mrs. Madeline Waller and Mrs. Kack (Eloise) Kees, both of Newcomerstown, Mrs. Marie DeLong of West Lafayette, and Mrs. Max (Bonnie) Hinton of Wooster, and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be 2pm Tuesday at the Ourant Funeral Home in Newcomerstown, with the Rev. Larry Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Everals Church Cemetery in Coshocton County.
Friends may call from 6 to 9pm Monday at the funeral home.
