| Birth: | Dec. 3, 1877 Beloit Rock County Wisconsin, USA | | Death: | Jul. 19, 1954 Aberdeen Grays Harbor County Washington, USA |  Philippine Insurrection Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. Entered the service at Fargo North Dakota and served as a Private in Company B, 1st North Dakota Infantry. Near San Isidro, Philippine Islands, on May 16, 1889, he along with 21 other scouts charged across a burning bridge under heavy fire and completely routed 600 of the enemy who were entrenched in a strongly fortified position. His citation was issued on May 17, 1906 by President Theodore Roosevelt and accredited to the State of North Dakota. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
