US Congressman. Elected to represent Georgia as At-Large in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1803 to 1805. Also served as a Member of the Georgia State House of Representatives from 1796 to 1798, Member of the Georgia State Senate from 1799 to 1800, Member of the South Carolina State House of Representatives, and Secretary of the State of South Carolina from 1831 to 1835. He also served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. (bio by: K)
