Danny Ray Thomas

Danny Ray Thomas of Tyler passed away Nov. 16, 2011, at The Hospice of East Texas.

He was born Nov. 6, 1952, in Tyler.

Danny is survived by his mother, Marjorie Hughes; sisters, Donna Shay and husband Wayne, Debbie Cagle and husband Kenny; and his niece, Tammi Long and husband Bobby and children, Bayli and Blake.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Barbara, who passed away Jan. 17, 2011; his son, Joe Dan Thomas; and his father, Parker Thomas.

Danny retired from Delek Refinery after working for 32 years.

He and his longtime best friend, Richard Wixom, enjoyed horses and scouting antique sales. Danny especially enjoyed his cat Dee Dee.

Graveside services will be conducted in Rose Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Dr. Darryle Dunks at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.

Visitation will follow graveside services.
