She married and lived in Muncie until 1955, then Indianapolis, IN until retirement. She worked as a dining room hostess in Muncie at the famed Roberts Hotel in the early 50s. Her primary career was head cashier and bookkeeper in the grocery business for more than 50 years: Marsh, Standard Grocery, Kroger and A&P Grocery. She had a brilliant talent for numbers and loved working with the public and developed many long and loyal friendships over the years of service.

Upon retirement, Anna moved to Lafayette, CO, where she worked as a tax consultant for H&R Block and attended Front Range Junior College, with a major in computer and tax accounting. At home she loved to cook and garden.

Anna lived in Santa Clarita, CA for 10 of the last 11 years. She relocated to Muncie, IN in 2009 to be near family in Indiana and Ohio.

She wrote religious poetry and music and was an animal lover for all of her adult life. She is survived by a sweet pug, Roxy. Anna enjoyed decades of Broadway theater, classical and spiritual music, and traveled extensively in the US, Canada, Europe and the Middle East. She hosted many foreign exchange students from Brazil over the years.
