DEATH OF CLARENCE DYE
At six o'clock last evening [Nov 24, 1893] Clarence Dye passed away at the home of his father John Dye, on south Central Avenue. The deceased was about 30 years of age [b. abt. 1863] and has long been a sufferer with diabetes, resulting from an attack of typhoid fever. He resided until a few weeks ago on a farm 6 miles south of the city, removing to the home of his father in order to secure the benefit of constant medial attendance. A wife and two children mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father. The deceased was an upright, honorable and straightforward man, being highly esteemed by his associates. He was a former member of Austin Lodge, I. O. O. F., of this city. Funeral services will take place from the Christian church at 9:30 a. m. tomorrow [11/26/1893] and the interment will be made at the Sims graveyard.
