Religious Leader. He was ordained a Priest of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin on March 23, 1687, appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Quebec on February 26, 1714, ordained Bishop Coadjutor Bishop of Quebec on April 23, 1714, succeeded Bishop of Quebec on December 26, 1727, and resigned as the Bishop of Quebec on September 12, 1733. He died as Bishop Emeritus of Quebec on November 28, 1741.
