Artist. She was a popular Canadian impressionist painter for both collectors and exhibiters between 1890 and 1915. Her paintings were exhibited in many galleries around the world including the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario. After 1915 though her art began to lose interest. Her many works include, 'The Enchanted Pool,' 'Water Babies,' 'City of Light,' 'A Daffodil,' 'Madonna With Angels,' 'Still-Life,' 'Interesting Story,' 'The Japanese Kimono,' 'Trees By The River,' and 'The Lesson.' At the age of 55 she retired from painting to take care of sister's 11 children after her death, only to return to painting at the age of 64. Lyall died in 1930 at the age of 70.
