Mrs. Sarah E. Bloom, widow of the late Jacob Bloom, died Friday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Hahn. 15 Fell Alley. The cause of her death was pneumonia with which she had been ill about two weeks. She was 77 years and 26 days of age.
She was born in Fairfield Co., this state; but nearly all of her life has been spent near here, the last 15 years in the city. She was united in marriage to Jacob Bloom May 23, 1850. Seven children, all of whom survive her, were born to this union: Mrs. Angeline Hahn and Franklin P. Bloom, of this city; William, Aaron and Rudolph Bloom of Seneca Township and Ferdinand Bloom and Mrs. Rachel Clouse of Big Spring Township. Besides them, 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters mourn her death. Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at South Bethel Church conducted by Dr. J. B. Rust. Interment in Bethel Cemetery.
She married Jacob Bloom May 22, 1850. She went to the Reformed Church.
