Services for Dallas Ray Bunting, 77, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, in Sanders Memorial Chapel, with Bruce Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
He passed away on Dec. 17, 2007.
Dallas Ray Bunting was born Feb. 13, 1930, in Herrin, Ill. He graduated from Johnson City High School in 1948 and he attended the University of Southern Illinois. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1954.
Dallas married Jacqueline Uhrich on June 30, 1951. He has been a resident of Lubbock since 1963. In 1993, he retired from Snook and Aderton. He was a lifetime member of the Elk's Lodge.
Dallas enjoyed fishing, playing golf and especially visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years; his children, Vickie Bunting, Diane and husband Scott Neill and Scott Bunting, all of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Taylor and wife Misti Neill, Adam Neill and Hannah Neill; brothers, Danny and Robert Bunting of Illinois.
