George Irvin Miser, retired farmer of 4204 E Noble, died Monday morning in a local rest home. He was 76.
Funeral for Miser will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Howard Memorial Baptist church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill cemetery under direction of Hunter Funeral Home.
Miser was born in 1881 in Indian territory. He farmed at Rosedale in McClain county before retiring in 1945 and moving to Oklahoma City. He had been a member of the Presbyterian church since 1897.
Surviving are his wife, Eula, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Etha Mosely, Mrs. Laura Easley and Mrs. Del Dyson, all of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Jimmy Wakely, wife of cowboy singer Jimmy Wakely, Hollywood, Calif.; four sons, Grady, Harvey, Gene and Norman Miser, all of Oklahoma City.
Also two brothers, Jack Miser, Rosedale, and Henry Miser, Norman; three sisters, Mrs. Lennie Futrell, Norman; Mrs. Lucy Hays, Wynnewood, and Mrs. Lula Mantooth, of Maysville survive.
